The pandemic restrictions required us to find new ways of doing the business of training without putting ourselves and others at risk of getting sick. During the lockdown when it was critical for a client to get a trainer’s guidance as soon as possible, we added phone consultations to our services.
Phone consultations became an effective way to expedite getting people the assistance they needed with their dogs. Working by phone helped bridge the gap while we were all waiting for classes and private training to start up again.
Phone consultations are now a daily part of our program. Scheduling calls with our trainers eases the burden on our store staff from taking calls that require complicated answers. These calls deserve more attention than staff can give while they are managing the store.
HOW IT WORKS
First, we request that clients email us details about what they are experiencing with their dogs. This helps us to make the phone calls more productive because we can review individual cases beforehand and prepare solutions. The client then calls Awesome Dawgs with contact information and payment for a consultation. Once the registration is added into our system, a trainer schedules the call with the client.

Phone consultations are a simple, inexpensive way for us to offer people professional training advice. A call can be scheduled quickly since it does not require travel or reservation of the training center.
