What is the best training for your dog?

Group or Private? Here is an explanation of the different training options to help you choose the best fit for you and your dog.

GROUP TRAINING

Training taught in a group setting where, depending on the course, there could be from 3 to 7 dogs and their people in the class.

Group Classes are for:

  • Dogs and people that can stay focused in a group setting
  • Dogs that are comfortable in a group setting with other dogs and people
  • People that can commit to a weekly training schedule

Group Classes are NOT for:

  • Dogs that are fearful, stressed or easily over-stimulated in group setting
  • Socializing or teaching your dog how to ‘like’ other dogs or people. (Click Here to Visit the Socialization Page)
  • Addressing behavior problems such as fear, anxiety, reactivity, aggression

PRIVATE TRAINING

Your instructor works with you one-on-one at our Training Center or The Dawg Park. Curriculum is based on your goals and scheduling in based on your availability.

Private Training is for:

  • Dogs and people that have a difficult time focusing in a group setting
  • Dogs that are uncomfortable in a group setting with other dogs and people
  • Dogs that have troublesome behaviors like jumping, darting, digging, counter-surfing, leash-pulling, or barking that needs more training attention than what is offered in a group class
  • People that cannot commit to the weekly group training schedule
  • People that have specific training goals
  • Dogs that react to triggers in their environment

Private training is NOT for:

  • Addressing behavior problems such as fear, anxiety, reactivity, aggression
